Wild at Heart

Wild at Heart is a series inspired by botanical imagery where a harmonious fusion of colours, light, and shadows transport you to the heart of nature itself. It’s a world built upon dramatic abstractions, not an idle prettiness, but canvases that pulsate with energy and movement. Memories of her previous, active life are reflected in the complex interaction of active brushstrokes and intricate patterns of marks. Here on the canvases is a celebration of that wild, crazy and colourful life history. These dramatic colours are accompanied by gentle whispers of inevitable decay that happens in the plant’s life-cycle, which parallels the changes that she’s now experiencing with her chronic illnesses.
